At Aqua Canis, we offer physiotherapy and pool-based hydrotherapy to referring vets for a number of conditions and health benefits.

We have a purpose built 6m x 3m indoor, heated, canine hydrotherapy pool.

Our soothing warm water improves circulation by causing blood vessels to dilate. This will assist in the regeneration of cells and improve healing time.

Weightless swimming action supports, muscular skeletally, range of movement without concussive forces. This helps lubricate the joints to maintain strength and flexibility, reduces swelling and releases endorphins which have a natural analgesic effect on the body. Extremely beneficial for arthritic patients and adolescents with open growth plates.

We work very hard to form a strong working relationship with our patients and swimmers. Their wellbeing plays an extremely important therapeutic role during their time in the pool.

All our sessions are strictly one to one or with same family dogs also having vets’ consent to swim.
